About Us

Our Owners: Cotton Mill was founded in 1995 by Judy and David Fincher. Mr. and Mrs. Fincher are long-time residents of Mesquite, Texas. They are on site daily actively managing and operating the school. Mr. and Mrs. Fincher look forward to knowing and serving your family.

Mrs. Fincher has provided quality developmental education and care to children since 1976 in a variety of settings including home-based child care, private pre-kindergarten, classroom teaching, and development of curriculum for both small and large private centers. Before establishing Cotton Mill, she served as the educational director for a large private school in Mesquite.

Mr. Fincher is Cotton Mill's Director. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Stephen F. Austin State University and is on site daily overseeing the operation of the school. He is President of the National Child Care Coalition and is very active in current education issues affecting Texas children. He has worked closely with many Texas State Legislators in crafting legislation related to education and child care.
